The China Rare Earth Industry Prosperity Index has been released for two consecutive years, jointly compiled by China Economic Information Society and Baotou Rare Earth Products Exchange. This index can effectively support the past operation status of the rare earth market, reflect current market activity, and to some extent predict future trends. It provides decision-making reference for market participants, enterprise decision-makers, and government managers, and promotes the healthy and orderly development of China's rare earth industry.

The 2019 China Rare Earth Industry Prosperity Index Report shows that in the second half of 2019, the China Rare Earth Industry Prosperity Index was 123.55 points, higher than the 100 point prosperity line and in the "prosperity" range. Compared with last year, it increased by 22.47 points or 22.22%. From the six primary indicators, the market performance indicator scored the highest at 143.55 points, which is also the highest increase compared to the evaluation results in the past two years, with an increase of 45.63 points and a high increase of 46.60%. The second highest scoring indicator is technological innovation, with a score of 129.03 points, reflecting the high importance that enterprises attach to independent intellectual property rights and core technology research and development.

The China Rare Earth Industry Prosperity Index is an important component of the China Rare Earth Series Index, which also includes the China Rare Earth Price Index and the China Rare Earth Industry Development Index.
